Product Display & Merch Rules

3. Product Display Case & Merchandising Rules
Category: Brand Standards | Audience: Front-of-House / Shift Leads | Authority: Corporate (Read-Only)

Overview
Our display case is our primary sales engine. A messy, uneven, or sparse display directly lowers store revenue. This article outlines the exact corporate merchandising visual guidelines that must be maintained from open until close.

Visual Layout & Alignment

  • The Golden Triangle: The highest-margin, limited-edition flavors must always be placed in the center row of the display case at direct eye level.
  • Spacing: Every single cookie batch must be spaced exactly two inches apart on the presentation trays. Use the custom display spacer tool kept under the front counter.
  • Tagging: Flavor identity tags must be placed perfectly straight in front of their corresponding tray. Never allow handwritten or altered tags in the case.

Quality & Freshness Control

  • The Symmetry Rule: If a cookie is misshapen, missing its center filling, or slightly over-browned, it must never be placed in the display case. Route these immediately to the "Staff / Sample" tray in the back.
  • Replenishment Threshold: Never let a display tray drop below three active units. When a flavor hits the three-unit mark, immediately call out to the baking station for a fresh batch pull.
  • Condensation Control: Use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe down the exterior and interior glass surfaces every 30 minutes to eliminate smudges and fingerprint fog.
