Shift Structural Roles & Assignments
Overview
Every crew member plays a vital role on our high-speed assembly line. Understanding your individual position and responsibilities during a busy shift keeps customer wait times under 90 seconds and keeps product quality flawless.
On any given shift, you may be assigned to any of these roles, as directed by the shift supervisor.
Core Positional Responsibilities
**The Front Order Taker: **The face of the store. Greets every customer within 3 seconds, guides them through our current weekly flavor rotation menu, inputs modifications accurately into the register terminal, and processes payments.
**The Order Filler: **The bridge between the oven and the guest. Packages cookies swiftly using the correct clear tissue sheets, arranges them perfectly inside our signature branded boxes, adds custom toppings or sauces, and hands off the final package with a warm smile.
The Baker: The kitchen engine room. Measures and scales raw ingredients, monitors dough weights on the digital table scale, organizes tray layouts, programs the oven timers, and tracks internal product doneness.
The Shift Supervisor or Floater: The team director and problem solver. Monitors overall line speed, processes cash register safe drops, manages inventory refills between the walk-in freezer and the prep tables, and steps into any line position during high-traffic spikes.
